A:Single Sign On → Education Administration System → My Applications → Undergraduate Chinese Credit Exemption Application and Inquiry, print out the application form (certificate or review). To apply for certificate exemption, a photocopy of the transcript should be sent to the Language Center along with the application. Credit exemption period is around at the beginning of each semester, please refer to the academic calendar for the exact dates.

A:(1)Students who have certificated with TOCFL test and passed Level A2 of Listening and Reading, may apply exemption with your application form and TOCFL score certification in every first week of semester.
(2)Students who do not have TOCFL or HSK certificate, need to attend the Chinese Language Proficiency exam held by Chinese Division , Yuntech Language Center (room DH203) in every first week of semester.

A:Article 1         
The course exemption is to advance the international students’ Chinese language proficiency at all levels.
 
Article 2         
Applicants: international students who meet one of the followings are encouraged to apply for exemption for Chinese as a Second Language Courses (I), (II), (III), (IV) or (V), a maximum of 10 credits.
 
a. International students who have taken the Huayu tests held by Steering Committee, and are issued with certificates at the level of Band A of both Listening and Reading tests.
 
b.Before entering YunTech, international students who have taken Chinese courses in other educational institutions, and pass the post-tests (listed in Article 5) held by the Language Center.
 
Article 3
Application Deadline: Stipulated by the Language Center

How to apply: applicants shall go to the Language Center and apply in person with their application forms and documents in the 1st week of each semester.
 
Article 5
Principles for reviewing exemption are as follows:
 
a. First review: The Language Center will evaluate the applicants by reviewing the documents. Qualified applicants will be allowed to exempt Chinese as a Second Language courses (I) to (V).
 
b.Second review:
 
1.Method: International students have to take either writing or oral tests in Chinese.
 
2.Course exemption: The results will be given by the Chinese instructors
 
Article 6
The course exemption shall be implemented after being approved by the Office of Academic Affairs meeting and the president of YunTech; the same procedure applies to all amendments.
